I'm such a horrible person.
I've been neglecting three drawings, friends, work/assignments/duties, cleaning, bathing, family, sleeping, and other things all to play Pokemon.

It's so awesome though!
I haven't had a Pokemon game since...early middle school/elementary after my mom threw ALL of my games away [except the ones i hid which included silver, gold, crystal, and snap]. Even my Blue version which had 151 pokemon.

Yes. I had a Mew.

Anyway. I've got Diamond at my disposal now! Bwahaha!!!
My friend has Pearl too, so tomorrow, when we go to see the midnight showing of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian [yeah. i'm that sweet.], we're going to trade and battle.
She might be better than me though, because she's had hers longer.
BUT.
I think I'm pretty good too.
If not. I'll pwn her with all of the rare items I've been finding [heart scales, TWO thunderstones, sunstone, etcetcetc.]

Yarg, it feels good to be obsessed~



Anyway. As I said, I've got three WIPs, but...I dunno.
Lately, I've been really wanting to get away from "realistic"-ish style and unleash my looser side.
At the same time, I don't want to say I have a "style" because I don't want to feel like I have to stick to a certain genre per say. I've been struggling with trying to do what feels right, but everytime I look at my work, I feel unsatisfied because I know something is missing.
I've come to realize though, that trying to stick to my old habits has restricted me.
For example. I used to say that I'm never going to use black in my work, but since I've been using my sumi brushes and ink, I've been wanting to incorporate it more and more in my works. Then, after seeing 'Speed Racer' on IMAX...
I'm just unsure and nervous about doing so...

I guess, in the end though, I'll need to put Meebo [my DS] down and grab my sketch book instead.


Ha, sorry for the long rant. Just plotting my thoughts.
But, to end on a lighter note, I'll leave you with my new favorite quote from 'Speed Racer':
